DESCRIPTION:The series will run every Thursday from May 2nd to August 29th off the beaches at the Jericho Sailing Centre. The races are open to all level of paddlers in outrigger\, SUP\, surfski\, prone\, sea kayak\, canoe\, rowing shell. Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. Check-in starts at 6 pm\, race starts at 7 pm. \nNo Registration on Site\nPre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (12:01 AM) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race\nCheck-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. \nRace Fees\nRace entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. You can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register.

You must be registered for the Social Paddle in order to join the group. Renters cannot join the group on the water. \nDiscounted kayak rental rates are in effect for these events. DESCRIPTION:Come see and hear what Vancouver’s ocean community centre is all about! Meet with representatives from our clubs and schools to explore all of the sailing\, kayaking\, rowing\, SUP\, windsurfing\, and paddling opportunities that thousands of Jericho Sailing Centre users already enjoy without the burden of boat ownership. Some of our clubs will even be offering short sailing experiences in their dinghies. \nSee our facilities and try a kayak\, surfski\, windsurfing\, SUP\, skimboarding\, canoeing or sailing lesson or rental from one of our schools – no membership necessary. \nLearn about our regular weekly sail and paddle racing programs\, social paddles\, seminars and more. Witness our rescue team perform rescue demonstrations in the waters in front of the Centre. \nMembers are encouraged to sail\, row or paddle past our President aboard the Albatross at 1330H. The wetter you can make him the better! \nFinally\, enjoy hand scooped ice cream\, a refreshment or even a meal on our deck in front of the best view of Vancouver in Vancouver.

SUMMARY:Jericho Wavechaser Paddle Race Series
DESCRIPTION:The series will run every Thursday from May 2nd to August 29th off the beaches at the Jericho Sailing Centre. The races are open to all level of paddlers in outrigger\, SUP\, surfski\, prone\, sea kayak\, canoe\, rowing shell. Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. Check-in starts at 6 pm\, race starts at 7 pm. \nNo Registration on Site\nPre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (12:01 AM) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race\nCheck-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. \nRace Fees\nRace entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. You can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register.

SUMMARY:Jericho Social Paddle – Jericho Beach Kayak
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to paddle together with others? Connect with other paddlers? Exchange ideas\, experience\, tips and tricks? Socialize and make new friends? \nJoin us each Friday evening for our Jericho Social Paddle. \nAnybody (16+) and all genders are welcome. Most paddlers have some experience but newcomers are very welcome. \nThis is a paid event put on by Jericho Beach Kayak Centre and is open to the public. The Social Paddle fills up quickly so we recommend registering right when it opens. You must be registered for the Social Paddle in order to join the group. Renters cannot join the group on the water. \nDiscounted kayak rental rates are in effect for these events. BYO kayak rates also available. All participants must register. \nRegistration opens on a rolling basis on Sundays at 10am for the following Friday. \nMore info and registration here.
