SUMMARY:JSCA Annual Fleet Planning Meeting
DESCRIPTION:At this meeting\, we review our previous year’s events and preview our coming year’s events\, setting the dates for next year’s event schedule. We will also be looking at alternate scoring systems for our Penguin Cup\, Tuesday and Sunday sail racing series. We encourage representatives from all of our racing fleets and groups both paddle and sail to attend. \nA working group has been examining alternate scoring systems for our sailing series since January. Richard Spencer has modeled a few scoring system options at jracing.org and will be introducing the different models at the meeting. Please take the time to visit jracing.org to see how these work for yourself. This potential change will have a significant impact on how racing is scored and how we determine series winners going forward. \nThis meeting will be held virtually on Zoom. If you are interested in attending\, please contact the JSCA office for a copy of the Zoom invitation.

DESCRIPTION:Pacific Northwest Outrigger Racing Canoe Association small boat event hosted by the Jericho Paddling Club at the Jericho Sailing Centre. \nCompetition is open to OC-1\, OC-2 and surfski. DESCRIPTION:Do you want to paddle together with others? Connect with other paddlers? Exchange ideas\, experience\, tips and tricks? Socialize and make new friends? \nJoin us each Friday evening for our Jericho Social Paddle. \nAnybody (16+) and all genders are welcome. Most paddlers have some experience but newcomers are very welcome. \nThis is a paid event put on by Jericho Beach Kayak Centre and is open to the public. The Social Paddle fills up quickly so we recommend registering right when it opens. You must be registered for the Social Paddle in order to join the group. Renters cannot join the group on the water. \nDiscounted kayak rental rates are in effect for these events. BYO kayak rates also available. All participants must register. \nRegistration opens on a rolling basis on Sundays at 10am for the following Friday. \nMore info and registration here.
