DESCRIPTION:Multiple teams of 8 to 10 race against each other in voyageur canoes. Teams can compete in just-for-fun or competitive heats. Just-for-fun teams compete in one race. Competitive teams race against other boats in an initial heat\, fighting for a place in the semi-finals and finals. Teams in the finals compete for a coveted Day of the LongBoat trophy and UBC Intramurals championship shirt. The event also includes a festival of games\, a live and roaming MC\, DJs\, and prize giveaways at the Jericho Sailing Centre. More information is available at: recreation.ubc.ca

DESCRIPTION:The annual JSCA Racing Awards and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner is Sunday\, October 18 at 1700H. Tickets are $28 per person\, available in the JSCA office up until Tuesday\, October 13. There will be a slideshow presentation and awards bestowed upon our notable racers and volunteers. As our way of showing appreciation for our volunteers\, they receive complementary tickets.
