Our motto is: “members helping members” and we do it while having fun along the way. The course involves both classroom and practical on-water elements with our two rigid hull inflatable rescue boats\, our aluminum work boat\, and our race management catamaran. Mandatory first aid training and VHF certification on subsequent dates are also provided. Applicants must obtain their Pleasure Craft Operator Card independently. SUMMARY:Jericho Wavechaser Paddle Race Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:The series will run every Thursday from April 30th to August 27th off the beaches at the Jericho Sailing Centre. The races are open to all level of paddlers in outrigger\, SUP\, surfski\, prone\, sea kayak\, canoe\, rowing shell. Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. \nCheck-in starts at 1800H\, race starts at 1900H. No Registration on Site Pre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (0001 H) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race Check-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. Race Fees Race entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. \nYou can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register. PFD’s and leashes are mandatory Paddlers racing without these vital pieces of safety gear will get an automatic DSQ. No exceptions.

SUMMARY:Jericho Wavechaser Paddle Race Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:The series will run every Thursday from April 30th to August 27th off the beaches at the Jericho Sailing Centre. The races are open to all level of paddlers in outrigger\, SUP\, surfski\, prone\, sea kayak\, canoe\, rowing shell. Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. \nCheck-in starts at 1800H\, race starts at 1900H. No Registration on Site Pre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (0001 H) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race Check-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. Race Fees Race entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. \nYou can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register. PFD’s and leashes are mandatory Paddlers racing without these vital pieces of safety gear will get an automatic DSQ. No exceptions.

Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. \nCheck-in starts at 1800H\, race starts at 1900H. No Registration on Site Pre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (0001 H) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race Check-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. Race Fees Race entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. \nYou can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register. PFD’s and leashes are mandatory Paddlers racing without these vital pieces of safety gear will get an automatic DSQ. No exceptions.

Socialize and make new friends? \nJoin us each Friday evening for our Jericho Social Paddle. \nAnybody (16+) and all genders are welcome. Most paddlers have some experience but newcomers are very welcome. \nWe offer discounted kayak rentals for those participating or you can join the group with your own kayak for a further discounted rate! Please register when joining us with your own kayak. \nRegistration opens each Saturday at 10am for the following week. \nYou must be registered for the Social Paddle in order to join the group. SUMMARY:Sunday Racing Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:Informal racing series for Jericho style sail powered craft in English Bay. First signal at 1230H. Free of charge to members. Guests pay the JSCA day launch fee of $10/day. Only registered competitors will be scored therefore competitors are encouraged to register. Registration and scoring are available at jracing.org. \nFor those sailors using club boats and are unsure of their sail number before racing begins\, registration can happen both before and after the event. \nNotice of Race here \nSailing Instructions here \nStarting practice\nWe will be running starting practices on four Sundays this season. On May 10\, June 14\, July 5 and August 2. Albatross will be in position at noon (1200H) and will run practice start sequences using a unique “practice” class flag continuously from noon. \nFirst signal on May 3 and June 28 will be at 1300H due to marathon style running events that will limit access to the facility in the morning. \n
