DESCRIPTION:We are proud to provide a safe and accessible space for the LGBTQ2SAI+ to come paddling and join any of our programs. \nTo celebrate our queer community we are holding two dedicated community paddles for LGBTQ2SAI+ identifying folks. \n2026 Pride Paddle!\nCelebrate Pride with us! \nJBK is hosting two Pride Paddles this year! One at the end of June to celebrate Pride Month (in memory of the Stonewall Uprisings) and one in early August for Vancouver Pride Week! \nJoin us and other LGBTQ2SAI+ identifying folks for a relaxed 2h evening (and sunset!) paddle from Jericho Beach. There is no previous kayaking experience required. Our guides will make sure everybody is comfortable in their kayaks and on the water. SUMMARY:Jericho Wavechaser Paddle Race Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:The series will run every Thursday from April 30th to August 27th off the beaches at the Jericho Sailing Centre. The races are open to all level of paddlers in outrigger\, SUP\, surfski\, prone\, sea kayak\, canoe\, rowing shell. Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. \nCheck-in starts at 1800H\, race starts at 1900H. No Registration on Site Pre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (0001 H) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race Check-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. Race Fees Race entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. \nYou can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register. PFD’s and leashes are mandatory Paddlers racing without these vital pieces of safety gear will get an automatic DSQ. No exceptions.

Courses vary depending on conditions\, each race night has a short and a long course. \nCheck-in starts at 1800H\, race starts at 1900H. No Registration on Site Pre-register only at Webscorer.com. Each week the link to the race registration will be posted on the WaveChaser Facebook page as of midnight (0001 H) on Friday. \nRacers Must Check-in On-site Before the Race Check-in will be set up outside the JSCA compound on the beach between the ramps #2 and #3. When you arrive\, you need to check-in\, give the race directors your boat/bib number and review the race course. The course map is on a whiteboard hanging on the fence by Gate #3. It is critical for the safety crew to know how many racers are on the water. If you pre-register but don’t check-in\, you will not be counted. Race Fees Race entry is $5 for Jericho Sailing Centre members and $10 for non-members. \nYou can buy a series pass for the summer and save a few $$! There are 18 races\, so the series pass will give you 4 free races plus you only pay the processing fee ($1.40) once\, instead of every time you register. PFD’s and leashes are mandatory Paddlers racing without these vital pieces of safety gear will get an automatic DSQ. No exceptions.

DESCRIPTION:Do you want to paddle together with others? Connect with other paddlers? Exchange ideas\, experience\, tips and tricks? Socialize and make new friends? \nJoin us each Friday evening for our Jericho Social Paddle. \nAnybody (16+) and all genders are welcome. Most paddlers have some experience but newcomers are very welcome. \nWe offer discounted kayak rentals for those participating or you can join the group with your own kayak for a further discounted rate! Please register when joining us with your own kayak. \nRegistration opens each Saturday at 10am for the following week. \nYou must be registered for the Social Paddle in order to join the group. Unfortunately\, if the Social Paddle is full\, you cannot rent a kayak from us or bring your own boat and just join the group on the water. (This is for everyone’s safety.
