DESCRIPTION:Come see and hear what Vancouver’s ocean community centre is all about! Meet with representatives from our clubs and schools to explore all of the sailing\, kayaking\, rowing\, SUP\, windsurfing\, and paddling opportunities that thousands of Jericho Sailing Centre users already enjoy without the burden of boat ownership. Some of our clubs will even be offering short sailing experiences in their dinghies. \nSee our facilities and try a kayak\, surfski\, windsurfing\, SUP\, skimboarding\, canoeing or sailing lesson or rental from one of our schools… no membership necessary. Show up and try one of the demo kayaks\, surfskis or outrigger canoes from Coast Outdoors. \nLearn about our regular weekly sail and paddle racing programs\, social paddles\, seminars and more. Witness our rescue team perform rescue demonstrations in the waters in front of the Centre. \nMembers are encouraged to sail\, row or paddle past our President aboard the Albatross at 1330H. The wetter you can make him the better! \nFinally\, enjoy hand scooped ice cream\, a refreshment or even a meal on our deck in front of the best view of Vancouver in Vancouver.

Socialize and make new friends? \nJoin us each Friday evening for our Jericho Social Paddle. \nAnybody (16+) and all genders are welcome. Most paddlers have some experience but newcomers are very welcome. \nThis is a paid event put on by Jericho Beach Kayak Centre and is open to the public. The Social Paddle fills up quickly so we recommend registering right when it opens. You must be registered for the Social Paddle in order to join the group. Renters cannot join the group on the water. \nDiscounted kayak rental rates are in effect for these events. DESCRIPTION:Women on Water is a wonderful event where each Tuesday evening throughout the summer women (and female-identifying folks)  who are 16+ of all paddling abilities come together for a relaxed\, semi-guided paddle. \n“Women on Water” is inclusive and welcomes (but is not limited to): cis-gender women\, nonbinary folks\, transgender women\, 2-spirited folks\, those who are exploring or do not conform to gender identity\, and those who feel safe and included in our space. \nRegistration opens on a rolling basis on Wednesdays at 8am for the following Tuesday at this link. \nWOW fills up quickly so we recommend registering right when it opens.
